Joost x Zermie ‘ster’ by Abgar xx x Rigoletto
This very appealing, bay, 19 year-old stallion is the last son of the ‘stamping’ stallion Joost, who has substantiated himself in both the sport and the breeding. The highly sought after Joost blood we still see frequently in good sporting horses. Joost is also a very strong link in the damline. Germus R is a descendant from one of the best performing breeding lines in Holland. He has by now proven to be an excellent ambassador on behalf of this line. Germus R himself has jumped internationally under Peter Geerink. His offspring are very successful in the show jumping sport.
One of his most famous progeny is the bloodtype mare Balaboeska R who began her career ridden by Marc Dijkstra. As a six year-old she was already Dutch champion and she was seventh in the World Championships for young showjumpers in Lanaken. Balaboeska was brought out very successfully in the International sport by Jeroen Dubbeldam and can currently be seen ridden by Bart Bles, the rider of the Havikerwaard Stables.
The Germus R son Hildon Medoc II was Reserve World championship of the five-year-old show jumpers and participated at Jerez at only eight years of age and later in the Olympic Games in Athens. Additional International showjumpers sired by Germus R are M Sinia (Luca Onofri), Phoenix (Demenico Morosoli), Silvester (Willie Mellinger), T Amelusina (Andrius Petrovas) and Real Deal (Stefanie Breitenstein). The daughters of Germus R are also scoring very highly at the mare shows. The progeny of Germus R are characterised as very blood type riding horses. Germus R is an excellent stallion for mares which lack a bit of the necessary blood. Germus has an approved son in S Alba R out of a Pit I x Lord x Moltke I dam (pedigree 104a).
The famous Dermie pedigree yielded the following performance and breeding horses: Jean, Mermus R, Odermus R, Tolan R, Nathos R, G Adermie, C Adermie, F Termie, Zandigo, La Belle de Jour, King Kadermie, Matsuru's Joker, Harald II, Arnoldo Thor, Madermie and Toys R Us. Germus R is the only Joost son who has already proved to pass on his sire's excellent breeding qualities to his offspring. Some well known international show jumping horses by Joost are: V.I.P., Bonius, Bleu Chip, G Adermie, Carera, Hay Guy, Little Elk, Attent ZB and Jogger. Germus R is the same blood type as grandsire Abgar XX. This stallion too brought internationally famous jumping horses such as Ommen, Treffer, Valeur D, Jabgar and Abantos. The third performance-breeding stallion in Germus R's pedigree is Rigoletto. He is the sire of excellent show jumpers such as Queen of Diamonds, Santa Claus, Mr. Stroller, Turijn and White Boomerang.
